Currently, there are two plugins for Moodle in Test of English website.
Audio Response is a Quiz > Question Type plugin. It is for recording students' spoken responses. There is already a similar plugin for this task in Moodle MarketPlace (Record audio/video question type) and it can be used to record sound or video. The main difference between Record Audio/Video and Audio Response is that the audio controls for Start, Pause, or Replay are not displayed in Audio Response. Recording starts and finishes automatically.
Split Page is a Course Format plugin. It was designed for standardized language test courses. In a standardized test like the TOEFL iBT, when there is a reading passage, for example, the reading passage and the related question are displayed side-by-side on the page. On an ordinary Moodle quiz page, this is not possible. Also, a Moodle quiz is displayed with an information box next to it. In Split Page course format, if there is a "Description" and any other type of question on one page, this page is "split" into two - with "Description" on the left and the other question on the right. Also, the information box is not displayed.
