Listening and Reading Exercises and Tests
You can take the exercises as many times for you want. You can take tests only one time
- Sometimes, you may not see the "Next Page" button and even the navigation panel in the right menu may not work, This is because of a simple javascript error in your web browser. This problem will disappear when you reload/refresh the page.
- In listening activities, you can only move forward - as in the real test
- In all listening tasks, the audio file is embedded into the page and the audio file should "play" automatically. If you do not hear anything, this means that your web browser is blocking the automatic-play feature for audio files. Change the settings or try another web browser. (You will need to contact us to re-start the same activity - see below.)
- If you are unable to start or complete an activity because of, for example, a technical problem, send us a message. Your attempt will be deleted (you will lose all your responses within this activity, if we have already managed to answer some of the questions) so that you can attempt once more.
- Each test has a time limit. You can click "Finish attempt" or wait until the time expires. Responses are saved automatically
Speaking and Writing Exercises and Tests, and Full-Sized Tests
- All responses to speaking and writing tasks are evaluated by a teacher, with detailed feedback added.
- Speaking tasks require that you use a Chromium-based web browser so that your responses can be saved.
- Each activity can be attempted only one time and there is a time limit.
- Again, your attempt can be deleted by the teacher if you request this; however, remember that all existing responses to this activity will be deleted then.
- For all writing tasks, you must use Safe Exam Browser (SEB). This is a special web browser for online examinations and it is used for the TOEFL iBT and the TOEIC as well. Its main purpose is to prevent cheating. When you start the exercise or the test in Safe Exam Browser, it covers the whole screen and you cannot open new tabs. The cache is deleted, which means that you cannot paste a previously-copied text. You can close Safe Exam Browser (there is the "quit" link just so that you do not need to turn off your computer at the end of the task) but then, when you go back to the writing task, you will see that your attempt has been saved and closed.
- When you complete an exercise or a test, you can click "Finish attempt" or wait for the time to expire. Responses are saved automatically.
