The Fill in the Blank (C-Test) question type presents words with part of the word removed. Students enter the missing letters.

When creating the question, enter the complete words and place the missing letters inside square brackets.

For example:

The govern[ment] introduced a new pol[icy].

EAS uses the text inside the brackets as the correct missing letters.

The student sees the incomplete words and enters the missing letters.

C-Test questions are useful for testing vocabulary, word recognition, spelling, and language knowledge.

When creating a C-Test question:

1. Write the complete sentence or text.
2. Identify the letters that should be removed.
3. Put the missing letters inside square brackets.
4. Check the resulting question in Preview.

The student must supply the missing parts.

Preview the question carefully to ensure that the missing sections appear in the intended locations.
